Improper posture causes headache, back pains, neck pains, and the general feeling of a fatigued body. If left unchecked, this could lead to some serious and permanent ailments that could have otherwise been corrected earlier. In order to achieve that proper computer posture, you must have a workstation that fits your body physique. You may want to select a chair that is both stable, fits your body comfortably, and can easily be adjusted for proper height and tilt.

Try to test a couple of chairs that you can find in your office and select the one which you feel most comfortable with, just make sure it is not the one used by the boss, otherwise you might suffer more than just an eyesore, a neck or back pain. Try it out in front of your workstation for a couple of hours. If you feel the pain is ebbing, then it could be the best chair for you.

Another factor that you have to consider in order to achieve a proper computer posture is the work surface. A lot of people have found it most comfortable when the desk height is just about the level of their elbows when they sit down. This would place the computer monitor at a comfortable eye level without you having to position your head in such a way so you could see what is being typed.

There are still a lot of proper computer postures that you can follow. The two proper computer postures mentioned are just examples of how you should position your workstation to adapt to your body. Once done, you would definitely feel truly comfortable.
